Gripping and facinating TED talk, Jill Bolte Taylor: My stroke of insight

Posted by Marco Kotrotsos on March 17, 2008

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor had an opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: One morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke. As it happened — as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding — she studied and remembered every moment. This is a powerful story about how our brains define us and connect us to the world and to one another.

Awesome and gripping TED Talk. Too floaty and Woodstocky on some parts, but as a whole- deeply captivating talk.

Thanks for sharing. I came across your profile on linkedin. I am a fan of TED (see our posting on creativity and education- http://thresholdblogazine.com/journal-old/2008/1/6/education-and-creativity.html). I agree with you on the floaty and woodstocky part (lol) but was definitely interesting.

    Have a great day!
